Scarves for summer

I love accessorising outfits. It is a great way to turn a fairly plain outfit into a unique and interesting outfit. Scarves are one of my favourite accessories as there are so many possibilities and they always look stylish. They were definitely evident on the catwalk for spring / summer 08 in a number of guises. I think a really lovely designer scarf would be a great addition to my wardrobe and gives me the chance to get the designer look without forking out for a whole designer outfit.

Scarves are also great for covering up a multitude of sins. For someone short like myself, a long scarf around the neck and hanging down elongates the body. Bright coloured scarves around the neck can also draw attention from areas you would rather people didn't look at such wide hips or large tummy. A scarf near the face will reflect colour onto the face so get a scarf in your best colour for maximum impact. Some of my favourites are:

Versace Long Fringed Silk and Wool Scarf

Stars & Flowers Printed Silk Fringed Long Scarf by Antica Murrina Veneziana

Christian Lacroix America Printed Silk Ornamental Square Scarf

Poppy Printed Scarf by D&G
