The Event of the Summer - Midsummer Ball

I can't wait. I am going to a midsummer ball this summer. It is organised by Posh Promotions- a promotion and event management company and looks to be one of the big events of the summer. The website advises to be prepared for an elaborate, sexy, extravagant and flamboyant evening! It is not very often that I get the chance to get really dressed up, but a ball is probably the ultimate opportunity to get dressed up (apart from my wedding day). I am starting to think about styles of party, prom, ball and evening dress now to give me time to find the perfect absolutely gorgeous and flattering dress.

As romance, ruffles and frills are just every where this season I think this may well be a great choice of dress. This will really allow me to take full advantage of my opportunity to get dressed up and find a really frothy and frou frou frock. John Galliano showed the ultimate in pink frilliness with a 1930's inspiration.

Much as I love the light pinks that are around this summer, I will have to opt for stronger colours as these suit my colouring much more. Here are some dresses I have found.
