Scotlands Got Talent

I am delighted to hear the nominees of the Scottish Fashion Awards Young designer of the year includes both Scott Ramsey Kyle and James Millar. Both of these nominees are undeniable evidence that Scotlands got talent that and of course the other nominees Louise Gray, Jamie Bruski Tetsill, Graeme Armour and Niki Taylor. The first two for me are the most noteable for their beautifully colourful designs and I do love a bit of colour.

Scott Ramsey Kyle is an embroiderer and designer working in London. He is a graduate of both Glasgow School of Art and Central St Martins and has worked for both Emma Cook and Boudicca. His designs are elaborate and vibrant, made from luxury wools and woven fabrics. His designs also use the applique technique in a new and innovative way.

James Millar's creations are equally gorgeous and bright. His clothes are fresh and fun and cleverley use colour for a happy and energetic effect. His collection gives the impression of a kaleidascope of colours and black and white optical illusions. His clothes are for both men and women which I am quite glad about as I love it all.

I can't wait to hear who wins the awards!
