Norwegian designer Kristian Aadnevik, graduate of the Royal College of Art debuted at Milan Fashion week this season with an amazing collection of almost gothic glamour. Kristian has a firm foundation in fashion design after working for Alexander McQueen and Harrods, then setting up his own fashion label in 2004, he has become Donatella Versaces new protege.
His clothes include of glossy jet black feathers and fur contrasting with tight fitting leather creations and glitzy disco dresses.. The sexy and glamourous clothes tread a fine line between fairytale and nightmare with Kristian describing every collection as "like a film starring the heroines I dress; plots and stories change, but my muse remains the same, she is the protagonists who evolves and explores life". The details of his collections are couture like and the materials luxurious and decadent. I think his clothes are really original and I would just love to get the chance to wear them (one day!)
It looks like this winter is going to be one of dark and gothic clothes and interesting texture. I really love bright colours but I'm actually quite liking all of the interesting gothic details.
