In case you didn't already know William Tempest is being tipped as one of the talented new designers to watch for 2009. For those fashion bloggers who have a daily obsession with checking out new fashion talent, you will probably already know all about William as being picked to show his SS09 collection at Fashion Fringe. He has stepped up to the challenge with a great collection which already features highly on many a fashionista wish list.
William has had a good grounding in producing innovative fashion. He studied at the London college of fashion before pattern cutting for Giles Deacon. His Spring Summer 09 collection has some beautifully classic and very wearable shapes but each with it's own unique twist including a fluorescent yellow tailored jacket and a sheath dress with sculptural folds and pleats. The colours of navy with accents of whites purples and greens were a refreshing change to the very grey palettes seen in many autumn and winter collections. The collection entitled Tropical Deco was inspired by a glamorous Art Deco house, the jazz age and the architecture of Miami.
