It was well publicised earlier in the year that Jean Charles De Castelbajac had shown a collection filled with muppets including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. The rest of his collection was less talked about and publicised but equally eyecatching.

With shoulders being such a key feature in so many collections this season, JC De Castelbajac has used an unusual and innovative way to highlight the shoulders on these clothes. Animal pictures are a another key trend that has been rumbling away for a few seasons and animal skin prints never really seem to go away. Both animal pictures and leopard print are both difficult to pull off with style and without looking twee or dated in a kind of Pat Evans (nee Butcher) way. I think Jean Charles has managed to make these work with just the right of humour. I love these offbeat eccentric pieces and I want that biker jacket.

Round London recycled fashion

Just thinking of ways to brighten up my plain old boring white top. I got the neck / scarf thing from a label called Round London that came along to the Posh Swaps clothes swap party a few weeks ago. Round London creates gorgous and unique clothes using vinatage and recycled fabrics. They can also create customised pieces using a piece of your old clothing. A very stylish way to recycleround london recycled clothes

Astley Clarke - Nature Inspired Jewellery

nature inspired jewellery

nature inspired jewellery I always love to see what designer jewellery is at Astley Clarke. On my latest visit I spyed this jewellery . It has a really contemporary look and would look amazing with a simple casual outfit. The necklaces are by the Agrigento design team in New York and inspired by the natural world and an inherent love of sicily. They are hand carved, hand formed and hand polished, made in sterling silver and dipped in either liquid platinum or 18ct yellow gold. There is a whole range of jewellery pieces including earrings, rings and bangles but the necklaces (particularly the octopus) are definitely my favourites.

Posh Swaps Clothes Swap - This week there has been so much going on in terms of ethical and eco fashion. Hear all about the first ever Posh Swaps clothes swap party and see the photos. I give an update on the sustainable clothing roadmap and shared talent India. I look at Nina Dolcetti and shoes made from upcycled materials.

Bamboo Baby - as well as the usual information about organic baby clothing, I have written about a collection inspired by overfishing in Gone Tomorrow- style and the sea. I have also posted about Estethica at London Fashion Week. Finally I look at the North Circular, the ethical knitwear - knitted by grannies.

I never fail to be amazed the innovative and groundbreaking fashion accessories that I manage to find whilst poking about on the internet. I am particularly amazed and pleased with myself for my latest discovery with has that winning combination of design excellence and affordability, something that you come across very often.

Dionne Gooding footwear has a range of unique shoe designs for both evening and casual. Her designs are embellished using studs, swarovski crystals and fabrics to give footwear that will most definitely become a key feature in any outfit and a talking point on a night out. My favourites:- the studded, the frilled, I think I am in love with them all.

The Dionne Gooding brand was established in 2008. Dionne studied Mixed Media Textiles at De Montfort University where she learned to incorporate her textiles techniques in footwear.

Forget London, Paris, New York, Milan, last night I attended a fashion show in Bradford on Avon organised by local boutique group Spirit as part of the Bradford on Avon Festival. It was a refreshing change to see some clothes that I did not have to wait until next summer for and that I at least might be able to afford at some point in the near future. Spirit is a great shop, which brings some much needed designer label fashion to towns in the West Country including Devizes, Frome, Marlborough and Bradford on Avon. The shops are stocked with carefully selected items from some great labels including By Malene Birger, Ted Baker, Almost Famous, French Connection, Out of Xile, Save the Queen, Isabel Pedro, Karen Cole.
Models - Keshani, Perdy, Jessy, Tina, Lisa, Jane, Lizzie, Gill.

London Fashion Week SS10 - My Best Bits

Despite London Fashion Week being by far my most favourite of all the fashion weeks, I don't have the inclination or time to post on every single show. There are so many people already doing this, I would probably only be repeating the same things. There is however so much to love about London Fashion Week, here are some of my favourites outfits. There will be more to come when I have more time (hopefully tommorrow)
fashion blog LFW
Osman Yousefzada - some beautifully soft shapes, simple, clean and interesting. I love this dress.

London fashion week fashion blogMark Fast - Crocheting and knits but certainly nothing granny like about this collection. I love this no sure whether it is an overdress or soft jewellery.

bloggers at london fashion weekMary Katrantzou -colourful and kaleidoscopic prints, what more could you want for summer?

Aminaka Wilmont - Biker meets boho, I love the tassels.

london fashion week blog
Erdem - a designer that I can barely take my eyes off, such rich and enchanting designs.

fashion blog ss10
Peter Pilotto - no surprise here, just more very very gorgeous prints and draped dresses. I am guessing these will be on just about everyones wish list including mine.

lfw fashion blog Paul Smith - I love this combination of old fashioned Britishness and quirky eclectic style.

London fashion week septJosh Goot - some really eyecatching pieces in a mixture of bright colours and optical monochromatic designs.

london fashion blogger
Christopher Kane - a really unusual use of gingham checks to create beautiful and feminine dresses.

london fashin week bloggerTodd Lynn - this seasons silhouette with the shoulders almost sprouting into wings, still wearable though (just!).

Luella - a great version of the ubiquitous LBD, I heart it.

Marios Schwab - I love mixture of layering, textures, draping, all put together so cleverly for a really elegant look.
london fashion week blogger
Meadham Kirchoff - again I love the clever layering and texture. This time a great contrast between floaty and structured.
