Any excuse to get dressed up

For someone like me who works from home and doesn't get out that much, I have to take every opportunity to get a bit dressed up. Yesterday my mum and dad took the children and I out for lunch at the local pub.

Although I only had nachos and half a pint of lager (I like to push the boat out ya know), I decided that I would make a bit of an effort in my cream chiffon dress, which was previously up for sale or swap due to never being worn, but I think I may have changed my mind.

My only reservation about this dress is that the lining is a little over shiney. However when I think of this dress as day wear rather for a night out, it suddenly has lots more potential as I don't often go out in the evening. My dad did comment that the tights look a bit like I have tattoos all over my legs - not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

Dress - ASOS
Jacket -Secondhand
Scarf - charity shop
Tights - Uttam
Shoes - Marks and Spencers
I have been really busy over the last few days setting up Facebook accounts. I would be really grateful of some followers as I feel like Billy no mates at the moment. You can follow me here.

I think the tights are great with that skirt! It adds a pop of pattern and color.

I'm going to follow you on Facebook once I can get home to access it - can't get to it from work! Boo!

Your so clever with a needle, I am sure you could change that lining if you feel it is too shiny. x

Gosh you have me craving nachos now! I can see where your dad is coming from with the tights, but I kind of like that idea! It works!
