I haven't been doing too much outfit posting over the last week. With back to back children's birthday parties and other such important events in my life, everything has been a bit of rush lately (in a good way though). That and the beautiful weather has meant that I have resorted to my tried and tested outfits which mainly feature just one of my many summer dresses. These are all outfits that I have posted before so I haven't been bothered to photograph and post them one by one. I promise I have lots of exciting places to go over the next few months though so hopefully will have some good outfit posts including my new feather headwear, an outfit for a seventies party, my DIY creations and a 4 days worth of festival fashion, I can't wait!
Dress - Sandwich

Beige is often a much quicker choice in the mornings than trying to coordinate brights (which sometimes takes me ages!). Anyway this beige dress is definitely one of my trusty fall back pieces that is super comfy and I love wearing. I love bright colours but sometimes it is good to tone things down a little to give the accessories the chance to take centre stage, no? Today I chose this cute Blue Tit necklace which was a birthday pressy from my girls. The shoes, I choose for a blogger contest with Sarenza last year.
Talking about exciting things to do over the next few weekd, for those that live in or are visiting London , this weekend will be next Vintage Fashion Fair at Primrose Hill. It will be the last fair before September and in addition to the the regular stallholders who always have an amazing selection of affordable vintage pieces, there will also be some new faces. There will be some handmade herb and lavender sachets in vintage fabrics on sale which are great for keeping those pesky moths away from your vintage treasures and the chance to have repairs and alterations carried out (while you wait if possible). There are still some free tickets left which you can apply for by visiting http://www.vintagefashionfairlondon.com/.
I love planning my wardrobe and deciding what to wear. As there seems to be so much flitting in and of my head all of the time, I find it quite useful to be able to record my outfit ideas somehow particularly when deciding what to take with me on holiday or trips. Most recently I tried the iphone app, Stylebook where you can keep a photographic record of each piece of clothing in your wardrobe and make outfits with it. The only problem was that after photographing a few items, I got bored. Taking a picture of everything in my wardrobe plus accessories seemed like such a daunting task.
Then I spotted the Fashionary notebook on Annie Spandex and knew this was just what I needed. It is a little notebook which has very faint bodyshapes drawn onto each page so you can quickly and easily sketch clothes. I have started sketching my outfit ideas which is really fun and amazingly simple even for someone with very little talent for drawing such as myself. I am also going to use my sketchbook for designing and getting ideas for new DIY projects.
How do you plan your wardrobe and decide what to wear in the mornings?
With warmest wishes
